The water falls at a <strong>height of almost 300 metres<\/strong> to the Nervi\u00f3n Viewpoint, a balcony suspended over the Delika canyon. This majestic enclave is located on the border between Alava and Burgos. Strolling in this natural setting is a pleasure and a suitable leisure option for the whole family.<\/p>\n<p>The best time to visit is after several days of heavy rain or during the thawing season.<\/p>\n<p>There are <strong>two options for observing<\/strong> the waterfall: from the Nervi\u00f3n Viewpoint along the different routes that surround Monte Santiago or from the other side of the river, from below, along the Green Path in the town of Delika in Alava. The Sierra de Entzia mountain range shelters this simple and pleasant <strong>river route<\/strong> of approximately 3km in total. The filtration of water through <strong>limestone and dolomite rocks<\/strong> creates a picture-postcard landscape.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>rainy season is ideal<\/strong> to appreciate the waterfalls. This waterfall is formed by the waters of the Jaundi and Basabe streams that converge in the Oiardo river, creating <strong>a waterfall that plunges 100m<\/strong>. It is one of the most important and spectacular waterfalls in Alava.<\/p>\n<p>Legend has it that the <strong>spell of a <em>lamia<\/em><\/strong> -a mythological being from Basque folklore similar to a nymph, but represented with duck feet- turned a shepherd called &#8220;Urjauzi&#8221; (Basque for &#8220;waterfall&#8221;) into a waterfall as punishment for having stolen her magic mirror. Undoubtedly, a punishment of <strong>unique beauty<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>best time<\/strong> to visit is during the spring and autumn and in the rainy or thawing season.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ssl-host:8890\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/1CascadadeGoiuri.jpg\" alt=\"Goiuri Waterfall\" itemprop=\"image\" title=\"1CascadadeGoiuri\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n\t\tGoiuri Waterfall\n<h2>\n\t\tWaterfall of Aguaque and the Oteo Mill\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>Both waterfalls are located in the region of <strong>Monta\u00f1a Alavesa<\/strong>, along the course of the river Sabando. Starting from the municipality of Anto\u00f1ana in Alava, you can take an easy walk through a landscape of <strong>wild rose bushes, gall oaks, rose hips, junipers and hawthorns<\/strong> until you reach these waterfalls.<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\tWaterfalls of Las Herrer\u00edas\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>It is located on the <strong>Berganzo water route<\/strong>, a path that follows the course of the Inglares river. A <strong>10km circular walk<\/strong> through centenary forests, waterfalls, small rapids and turquoise water pools. The waters of the Inglares flow down from Pe\u00f1acerrada to Berganzo, over a difference in height of 200m in less than 5km.
