Bilbao City Council, through the Bilbao Convention Bureau<\/a>, has organised a four-day trip, from 30 June to 3 July<\/strong>, to publicise the city’s resources for the organisation of meetings, incentive trips, congresses and events<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"04Calatrava-puente-1\"\n\t

For four days, from 30 June to 3 July, French representatives of the MICE sector visited Bilbao<\/strong> and its surroundings with the aim of getting to know different parts of the city, its gastronomy and services for the organisation of meetings, incentive trips, congresses and events. The group was made up of agents who promote or manage corporate events<\/strong> such as meetings of different types of companies and representatives of scientific and technological societies that hold congresses.<\/p>\n

The importance of this visit lies in the fact that the French market is one of the markets with the greatest impact on Bilbao<\/strong> due to its proximity and affinity for fine cuisine, landscapes, culture and quality services.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"San\n\t

During their stay they had the opportunity to visit the Radisson Hotel<\/strong>, where a meeting was held between the participating French agents and local incoming agencies such as Romotur, GoBasquing, Paso a Paso, STI, W2M and Basque Experiences<\/strong>. This meeting was followed by an activity in which they discovered the main landmarks of the city, including social sustainability<\/strong> initiatives.<\/p>\n

They also visited Azkuna Zentroa-Alh\u00f3ndiga Bilbao, Palacio Euskalduna, San Mam\u00e9s<\/strong> and several hotels and resources for holding meetings. On a more leisurely note, they took a short boat trip along the estuary, enjoyed the activities of Kalealdia<\/strong> and had an informal pintxo dinner in the Casco Viejo<\/strong> (Old Town). Outside our city, they took part in activities and visits such as the Basoa experience, linked to environmental sustainability, the Berroja Winery<\/strong>, the Club Mar\u00edtimo del Abra and the Bizkaia Bridge<\/strong> (Hanging Bridge). On the last day of their stay, they made the essential visit to the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The assessment of the agents has been very positive and they have shown great interest in the proposals of the local agencies, both about the venues such as the Euskalduna Palace, BEC, San Mam\u00e9s, or Bizkaia Aretoa<\/strong> as well as restaurants, services and proposals for incentive activities in our city.<\/p>\n
