The Basque Country<\/strong> has an infinite number of plans for family tourism<\/strong>. The question ‘Where to travel with children’ has many answers: enter a lighthouse and sail the seven seas, cross a 360\u00ba tunnel among sharks<\/strong>, have fun in theme parks with spectacular views…<\/p>\n

\n\t\tBilbao\n\t<\/h2>\n\t

To discover the capital we have many recommendations for plans, culture and restaurants to do with the family. Visit the Bizkaia Bridge<\/strong>; take the Artxanda funicular; go for a ride on the waters of Bilbao with Bilboats<\/a>; discover the city’s urban and contemporary art<\/strong> by bike with the Tourn\u00e9 Underground<\/a>…<\/p>\n

The Itsasmuseum Maritime Museum<\/a> is not to be missed, as is the prestigious Guggenheim Museum<\/a>. And as for gastronomy<\/strong>, as well as exploring the bars in the central streets, the Bistr\u00f3 Guggenheim Bilbao<\/a> restaurant or the Nerua<\/a> are a good option, among many others.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"Itsasmuseum\"\n\t\tItsasmuseum\n

\n\t\tDonostia – San Sebasti\u00e1n\n\t<\/h2>\n\t

As soon as you arrive in the city, La Concha<\/strong><\/a> beach invites you to take a swim or a pleasant stroll along its shores, even in winter. The elegance of its bay<\/strong>, framed by Mount Igueldo<\/a> and the island of Santa Clara<\/strong>, is world-renowned.<\/p>\n

Culturally<\/strong>, the capital is ready to welcome all kinds of public: the Eureka! Science Museum<\/a>; the Real Sociedad Football Museum<\/a>; the Basque Maritime Museum<\/a>; the Aquarium<\/a>… And for lunch and dinner<\/strong>, our recommendation is the Petritegi Cider House<\/a>, an experience to be lived.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"Donostia\n\t\tDonostia – San Sebasti\u00e1n\n

\n\t\tVitoria-Gasteiz\n\t<\/h2>\n\t

Finally, Vitoria-Gasteiz, the capital of the Basque Country, has 42 square metres of green areas per person. It offers various resources where you can enjoy experiences with the family<\/strong>. The Salburua Wetlands Interpretation Centre, Ataria<\/strong>; Vitoria Cathedral; the Green Belt<\/strong>… And for cultural plans, the Bibat Museum<\/a> is\u00a0a good option.<\/p>\n

\n\t\tRioja Alavesa\n\t<\/h2>\n\t

Visiting Laguardia<\/strong>,\u00a0capital of Rioja Alavesa where fortified churches and a great heritage await; and going to see the Dolmen de la Chabola de la Hechicera<\/strong>, one of the most important, best preserved and largest dolmens in Euskadi, are plans you can’t miss.<\/p>\n

But if there is one thing Rioja Alavesa is known for, it is its wineries<\/strong>. The Amador Garc\u00eda winery, the Lozano winery, the Vi\u00f1a Real winery and the El Fabulista winery are just some of the examples. We also recommend a visit to the Villa Luc\u00eda Wine Theme Centre<\/strong>: an innovative and surprising centre where you can taste, enjoy and disseminate the culture of wine.<\/p>\n

For gastronomic plans, we highlight the Villa-Luc\u00eda Espacio Gastron\u00f3mico<\/strong>, a multidisciplinary space where enogastronomy, culture, leisure, family and business tourism come together. It is the first Km. 0 restaurant<\/strong> in the D.O.Ca. Rioja accredited and approved by the international Slow Food<\/strong> movement.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"Rioja\n

\n\t\tBasque Coast\n\t<\/h2>\n\t

Our Basque Coast is unique because of the relationship between the sea and the land<\/strong>. It has always lived, and continues to live, looking out to sea. It is synonymous with sustenance and the promise of great adventures: The Flysch Route<\/strong><\/a>, in the Geopark, sailing from Zumaia to Mutriku, passing through Deba, on its cliffs we will discover the secrets of one of the great geological sanctuaries of the planet; San Juan de Gaztelugatxe<\/strong><\/a>, a protected biotope, is located between the coastal towns of Bakio and Bermeo, connected to the coast by a stone bridge and a staircase with 241 steps.<\/p>\n

For the more sporty, surfing<\/strong> is a sport that you will enjoy on our Basque Coast. Individually, in group or with a school<\/strong>, there are beaches all along the coast where you can practise it, especially the famous Zarautz<\/strong> beach, where you will find more than a dozen schools.<\/p>\n

Finally, the Santa Catalina lighthouse<\/strong><\/a> is a must on your visit. A centre for the interpretation of sailing techniques that gives us the opportunity to experience the sensation of sailors<\/strong> who, lost at sea, see the light of the lighthouse, which brings them back home.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"Surf\n\t\tSurf in family\n\t
