Every year, the <strong>Bilbao City Council<\/strong> celebrates this anniversary with an Institutional Day that brings together different cultural proposals with the focus on disseminating the work and life of the famous <strong>author from Bilbao<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/basquemagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/wwwwwt.jpg\" alt=\"wwwwwt\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"545\" width=\"970\" title=\"wwwwwt\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n\t<p>On this occasion, coinciding with the <strong>158th anniversary<\/strong> of his birth, Bilbao City Council will inaugurate an exhibition with the writer and philosopher as the protagonist at the <strong>Barrainkua Municipal Centre<\/strong> on Friday 30th. Under the title <em>&#8220;Met\u00e1foras de lo Eterno&#8221;<\/em> and curated by <strong>Marta Garc\u00eda Gasco<\/strong>, this exhibition will show portraits of him drawn by himself and portraits of him drawn by well-known contemporary artists, such as <strong>Macario Marcoartu<\/strong>, Joaqu\u00edn Sorolla, or his great friend, <strong>Manuel Losada<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/basquemagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/unamunowww-e160wwww02572271.jpg\" alt=\"unamunowww-e160wwww02572271\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"546\" width=\"970\" title=\"unamunowww-e160wwww02572271\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n<h2>\n\t\tFloral tribute\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>Every year, the City Council celebrates a wreath offering to pay homage to the philosopher, writer and thinker from Bilbao on his institutional day. Thus, this year&#8217;s wreath offering will take place on <strong>Tuesday 27th at 10:30<\/strong> <strong>in Unamuno Square<\/strong> and will be attended by Mayor <strong>Juan Mari Aburto<\/strong>.
