We were lucky enough to attend the last edition, at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.labe-dgl.com\/en\/restaurant\/\"><strong>LABe<\/strong><\/a>, the <strong>Tabakalera<\/strong> restaurant.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/basquemagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/ddd.jpg\" alt=\"The participants of this edition.\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"662\" width=\"970\" title=\"ddd\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n\t\tThe participants of this edition.\n\t<p>The last <strong>Gastro Gaztea<\/strong>, a new initiative that serves as a showcase for the gastronomic activities of our youngest <strong>Basque gastronomy<\/strong> professionals, took place on 18 October. Taking part in this edition were Jorge Asenjo, from <strong>ERRO<\/strong>, Ruben Andressen and Valeri Maza, from <strong>115 Pizza<\/strong>, Mendarte Baserria + LABe Restaurant, Cristina Castellano and Pablo Ibarreche, from <strong>Lurka<\/strong> and Ion Zapiain, from <strong>Zapiain<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>After a general presentation by the director of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bculinary.com\/en\/home\"><strong>Basque Culinary Center<\/strong><\/a>, Joxe Mari Aizega, the dinner began, in which each dish was p<strong>reviously presented by its author<\/strong>, so that the public could better understand the <strong>complexity<\/strong> of the dish when tasting it.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/basquemagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/rrr.jpg\" alt=\"Asistentes a la cena.\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"651\" width=\"970\" title=\"rrr\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n\t<p><strong>Each dish is presented beforehand by its author<\/strong>, so that, when tasting it, the public could better understand all the <strong>complexity<\/strong> of the dish.<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\tMantala, a bet on the future\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p><strong>Mantala Basque Gastronomy<\/strong> is an initiative whose mission is to promote and develop Basque gastronomy by encouraging the exchange of knowledge and co-creation. Mantala is promoted by the <strong>Basque Culinary Center<\/strong> and <strong>Hazi Fundazioa<\/strong> in collaboration with different public and private agents.
