Artium Museoa<\/strong><\/a> in Vitoria, the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Basque Country<\/strong>, will dedicate solo shows this year to Alejandro Cesarco<\/strong>, Carolina Caycedo, Rafael Lafuente and Julia Sp\u00ednola<\/strong> and will produce their exhibition projects in collaboration with international museums and institutions.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"Rafael\n\t\tRafael Lafuente\n\t

In 2023, the museum will produce its exhibition projects in collaboration with international museums and institutions such as Lumiar Cit\u00e9\/Maumaus in Lisbon<\/strong>, CRAC Alsace in France, BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, in the United Kingdom, and the Institut Valenci\u00e0 d’Art Modern, IVAM<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This year, the exhibition programme linked to Sala Z (zinema)<\/strong> will also be held, with projects by artists and filmmakers such as Mirari Ech\u00e1varri<\/strong> (Pamplona, 1988) and Irati Gorostidi (Valle de Eg\u00fces, 1988), Laida Lertxundi (Bilbao, 1981) and Naomi Rinc\u00f3n Gallardo<\/strong> (Raleigh, 1979).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"Julia\n\t\tJulia Spinola\n\t

The fourth edition of the JAI<\/strong> study programme and a programme dedicated to exploring performative practices<\/strong> will feature prominently during the summer. On the heritage side, the museum will present a new reading of its collection with a chronology starting in the 1950s<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At the same time, exhibitions will be presented of two artists who have recently joined its collection, Sahatsa Jauregi<\/strong> (Salvador de Bah\u00eda, 1984) and Nerea Lekuona<\/strong> (Vitoria-Gasteiz, 1976). Likewise, the exhibitions dedicated to the German artist Jutta Koether<\/strong> (Cologne, 1958) and the San Sebastian filmmaker Iv\u00e1n Zulueta<\/strong> (Donostia\/San Sebasti\u00e1n, 1943-2009), which opened last autumn, will remain open until spring.<\/p>\n

\n\t\tAlejandro Cesarco and pedagogy\n\t<\/h2>\n\t

March will see the opening of Otros ejemplos recientes<\/strong><\/em>, an exhibition by Alejandro Cesarco<\/strong>. The exhibition focuses on the different roles, uses and forms of pedagogy, and will be presented alongside the editorial practice that the artist develops in parallel. Otros ejemplos recientes<\/em> is curated by Beatriz Herr\u00e1ez<\/strong> and produced in collaboration with Lumiar Cit\u00e9\/Maumaus in Lisbon, the venue to which it will travel in autumn.<\/p>\n\t
