Friday the 5th will kick off with a gala at the <strong>Campos Eliseos Theatre<\/strong>. This event will be directed by the Bilbao stage director <strong>\u00c1lex Gerediaga<\/strong>, who also directed last year&#8217;s gala and the <strong>MAX Awards 2021<\/strong> gala.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/basquemagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Satellite-1.jpg\" alt=\"FANT last edition.\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"647\" width=\"970\" title=\"Satellite-(1)\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n\t\tFANT last edition.\n\tThis event will screen the feature film <strong>&#8220;El fant\u00e1stico caso del G\u00f3lem&#8221;<\/strong>, directed by Burnin&#8217; Percebes -Nando Mart\u00ednez and Juan Gonz\u00e1lez- and starring Brays Efe, Bruna Cus\u00ed and Javier Botet, a fantastic comedy that mixes the darkest and the brightest humour. Afterwards, the 11 Basque short films of the Official Selection will be screened in the same Campos Theatre.\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/basquemagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/f.elconfidencial.jpg\" alt=\"f.elconfidencial\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"728\" width=\"970\" title=\"f.elconfidencial\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n<h2>\n\t\tClosing ceremony with Bel\u00e9n Rueda\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>On <strong>Friday 12 May<\/strong>, the closing gala of FANT will be held in the Sala BB, where the <em><strong>ESTRELLA DEL FANT\u00c1STICO<\/strong><\/em> award will be presented, the Festival&#8217;s main prize, which on this occasion will go to Bel\u00e9n Rueda, actress, star of films such as &#8220;El Orfanato&#8221; and &#8220;Los Ojos de Julia&#8221;, among many others.<\/p>\n<p>The film chosen to be screened at this gala, which will also be directed by \u00c1lex Gerediaga, is &#8220;Incredible, but true&#8221;, a Franco-Belgian co-production, directed by <strong>Quentin Dupieux<\/strong>, a director who will also participate in the Official Selection with the feature film <strong>&#8220;Fumar povoca tos&#8221;<\/strong> (&#8220;Smoking causes coughing&#8221;).<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\tOfficial Section\n\t<\/h2>\n\tThe Official Competition Section at FANT stands out once again this year for its <strong>diverse and varied programme<\/strong>.
