The regional deputy for Employment, Trade and Tourism, Cristina Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong>, the Basque Government’s Minister for Tourism, Trade and Consumer Affairs, Javier Hurtado<\/strong>, and the director of Esf\u00e9rica Rioja Alavesa, Carlos Montilla<\/strong>, presented the third edition of the festival on the panoramic terrace of the Mercado de Abastos in Vitoria-Gasteiz in the presence of cultural agents from the Territory. The mayors of Laguardia and Elciego<\/strong>, Ra\u00fal Garc\u00eda and Juan Carlos Uribe, respectively, also attended.<\/p>\r\n

“Esf\u00e9rica Rioja Alavesa is a first-rate promotional element for wine tourism and the historical and natural heritage<\/strong> of Rioja Alavesa, and a quality festival that generates activity for its tourism sector just when the summer season begins to wind down. The 2022 edition brought together more than 3,700 attendees and had an economic impact of 350,000 euros, and we hope to consolidate these figures in this third edition”, explained Cristina Gonz\u00e1lez.<\/p>\r\n

Unique experience<\/h2>\r\n

Esf\u00e9rica Rioja Alavesa proposes a new way of understanding festivals, as it offers the public the opportunity to enjoy a unique experience through exclusive concerts framed in unique venues in Rioja Alavesa<\/strong> and accompanied by the best local wine and gastronomy<\/strong>. After the success of the first edition -2021-, the festival was consolidated in 2022 and returns this year with its third edition from 18 to 20 August.<\/p>\r\n

On this occasion, Laguardia, Elciego and Labastida<\/strong> will offer their historical heritage as a privileged setting to enjoy the music concerts of a festival with a programme based on four pillars: music, art, gastronomy and territory<\/strong>. The aim is to take advantage of the cultural and heritage values of Rioja Alavesa to create a different and unique proposal that can be enjoyed with all five senses<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n

The venues for these concerts combine icons of the historical heritage and wine architecture of Rioja Alavesa: the exterior of the Ysios wineries<\/strong>, which bear the signature of the renowned architect Santiago Calatrava, the Torre Abacial<\/strong> and the F\u00e9lix Mar\u00eda de Samaniego<\/strong> park in Laguardia; the Plaza de la Paz in Labastida; and the Plaza Mayor in Elciego will be the main venues for the musical performances.<\/p>\r\n
