The first edition of the Iron Man Vitoria-Gasteiz, held in 2019 and the 12 previous editions of the Triathlon, consolidated Vitoria-Gasteiz as a city with optimal capacities for the practice of sport.
The test
3.8 kilometres of swimming in the calm waters of the Ullibarri-Gamboa lake, the largest reservoir in the Basque Country.
Once the 180-kilometre bike course has started, the triathletes will follow the shore of the lake and continue through the beautiful and picturesque green landscape of the villages of Álava, while the Sierra de Elguea mountain range provides a perfect backdrop.
On the run, they will discover the culture and architecture of the old town of Vitoria-Gasteiz as they tackle the 42.2 kilometre four-lap run through the heart of the city.
