Electronic music returns to Gipuzkoa

On April 11, the arrival of a new edition of Dantz Point and the Dantz Festivala was announced. This cultural project, which was born in 2019 in Gipuzkoa, has grown exponentially thanks to the support of the Department of Culture of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa. With more than 80 Dantz Points held to date, this 2024 marks a milestone by expanding throughout Spain and internationally.
The presentation was attended by prominent figures such as María José Tellería, Regional Director of Culture, Isaac Palencia, Regional Director of Youth, Jon Insausti, Councilor of Culture of San Sebastian, and Jokin Telleria, Director of Dantz. All of them highlighted the importance of this project, which seeks to highlight the heritage through artistic performances of electronic and contemporary music.
María José Telleria expressed: "Dantz Point is a cultural project that transcends borders and celebrates the richness of our heritage through electronic and contemporary music. With more than 80 sessions held, this initiative has grown and expanded throughout the country, even reaching national and international levels. This year we have added the support of the Youth Department".
For his part, Isaac Palencia, Foral Director of Youth, added "Electronic music is a powerful way to connect with young people, to offer them a space for expression and creativity where they can feel identified and represented."
The inaugural event of this season is scheduled for April 13 at Okendo Square in Lasarte-Oria, with the participation of talented local and regional artists. This historic meeting point in Lasarte-Oria will be transformed into a stage where music and history will merge.
The May 11 will be the turn in Sanagustin Kulturgunea of Azpeitia; the June 22 at Eibar, in July in Donosti (as part of the Dantz Festival program), on August 31 at the Fort of San Marcos in Errenteria, on September 21 at the San Roque Chapel in Elgoibar. And there will also be meetings in Irun, Hondarribia, Deba, etc.
DANTZ FESTIVALA 2024
Dantz Festivala 2024 will be held from July 15 to 20 in Donostia, with the central theme of "Dreams", promising a week of vibrant experiences. The festival will seek to turn the city into the capital of electronic music for a week.
With a line up that includes artists such as Apparat, Avalon Emerson, and many more, the festival will offer a varied program that will include DJ sets, participatory meetings, art exhibitions, film screenings and concerts at different venues in the area.
TICKETS
Tickets are now available on the official website of
Dantz
. The two-day tickets (Friday and Saturday) are at 65€ + expenses, providing access to the Miramon Amphitheater on Friday and to the Donostia Arena at Illumbe on Saturday. Daily tickets cost 35€ + expenses for Friday and 45€ + expenses for Saturday.
In addition to the main program, the festival will feature special events such as the double concert by Ke Lepo + Lluch at Kutxa Fundazioa Kluba on July 17 and the Sonhar experience at the Patio de Tabakalera on July 18, each with a cost of 12€ + expenses per activity.
Dantz Festivala 2024 is supported by Donosti Kultura and Keler, promising an unforgettable week of electronic music, creativity and the exploration of "Dreams".
