This spring season consists of 4 days, on 29th March and 7th April (Good Friday), and on 12th and 19th April from 11:30 am. Each day there will be 5 races and you will be able to see the best thoroughbreds of the national scene giving the best of themselves galloping through the green.
Since it was inaugurated by Alfonso XIII in the Belle Époque (1916), the city has continued to organise horse races in summer every year, and is internationally renowned for this fact. A visit to the Hippodrome on a race day is one of those experiences that will round off your stay in the Basque Country with its originality, tradition and beauty. For residents and visitors alike, the races are an unmissable event. It is a perfect plan for families and groups of friends.
