Umbra Light Festival: Light and art in Vitoria-Gasteiz

Más sobre:
Umbra Light Festival will fill the streets, squares and emblematic buildings of Vitoria-Gasteiz with light and art from 9 to 11 February in the third edition of a festival that has become an international benchmark. The last edition attracted more than 107,000 people to the Basque capital.
The Festival celebrates its third edition with 'Empathy' as the motto and nexus of the twenty sculptures, installations and projections that will illuminate public spaces, squares and emblematic buildings in the city. In just two editions it has established itself as an avant-garde benchmark for the art of light.

It offers large-format light sculptures and projections designed by artists from all over the world that form an artistic journey through the city. Light is the main protagonist of the works, but there are also compositions that feature movement, music, etc.
Through the play of light, the visual artists promote communication, understanding and respect among all those attending the projections. In this dialogue, light establishes a very close relationship with the urban and natural environments of the city itself.

Those in charge of the festival have worked hard to ensure that the event will once again surprise, thrill and excite the audience. A show for all audiences that you can't miss.
Medieval Almond
The festival takes place during the afternoon and evening in the Medieval Almendra, the historic centre of Vitoria-Gasteiz -in this area there are civil buildings, walls, palaces, tower-houses and temples with centuries of history, of different architectural styles and periods- and in the Ensanche.
