A working meeting in the capital of Denmark between tourism agents and companies from Bilbao Bizkaia (incoming agencies, hotels, rural accommodation and complementary tourism activities), and Danish and Swedish tour operators and agencies to present Bilbao Bizkaia as a destination and strengthen commercial relations with a market of enormous potential.
This northern European region is a market with enormous potential, with a type of visitor that fits in perfectly with the tourist offer of the City and the Territory.
The interest in strengthening ties is growing considerably after the recent launch, last summer, of a direct air connection between Bilbao and Copenhagen. The sphere of influence of this new route is not limited exclusively to Denmark, but also includes the south of Sweden, whose largest urban enclave is Malmö.
External promotion in 2022
This workshop in Copenhagen is part of the autumn external promotion calendar for Bilbao Bizkaia designed for 2022. After kicking off last January with the FITUR fair in Madrid, actions have been scheduled in the main consolidated markets such as France, the United Kingdom, Germany, the United States, Italy and the Netherlands.
Highlights include attendance at tourism intermediation events in Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Norway and Italy, as well as presentations of the destination to specialised tourism media in Barcelona, Milan, Paris and Amsterdam, and participation in the major international European tourism fairs such as ITB Berlin, the World Travel Market in London and Travel Match Oslo.
It is also worth mentioning the presence at sector trade fairs such as Sea Trade Miami (Cruise Tourism), IGLTA Milan (LGBT Tourism), Routes Bergen (Air Connectivity) and ILTM Cannes (Luxury Tourism).
