Bilbao prepares for 5 intense days of Carnival
The Town Council has announced the full programme of Carnivals to be held in the town from 17 to 21 February. The programme includes free activities for all ages. The 2023 Carnival will give greater prominence to its most beloved characters, Farolín and Zaranbolas.

The YIMBY space, in the Sota building, opens an exhibition of photography and some handcrafted objects by Sara Moreno. The peculiarity of this Bilbao photographer’s work is that it features the famous Playmobil dolls that “pose” for the images in recognisable places in the capital. Until 3 May.
“B de Bilbao”, the image of Carnival 2023
On this occasion, “B DE BILBAO”, by Óscar Méndez San Frutos, will be the poster for the Carnival, the most carefree festival of the year in the town, which will be held from 17 to 21 February.
