On 7 November, the Provincial Council of Bizkaia held the first day of this service provided through Beaz with the aim of enabling the participating entities to rethink their businesses and activities and, in this way, encourage them to innovate in their value propositions. Eight companies from the sector took part in the last edition of this initiative.

In this edition, 14 companies (incoming agencies, hotels, active tourism companies, txakoli wineries with wine tourism activities, etc.) will take part in this initiative, which is part of the Bilbao Bizkaia 2030 Tourism Strategy, a document whose objectives include improving the competitiveness of the tourism sector and innovation.

Turisberri is structured in five phases that will take place over five weeks. The first of these consists of meetings between a consultant and each of the companies, lasting one hour, with the aim of understanding their business, their current situation, their needs, etc. The information gathered in these meetings will be synthesised using the Value Proposition Canvas tool, which analyses their value proposition from the customer's point of view.

The second phase focuses on identifying trends and benchmark initiatives in line with the areas of interest of each participating company with the aim of defining future scenarios. In the third part, the companies work together to generate new ideas over two consecutive days and over a period of two hours. The selected companies will participate again in the fourth phase in personalised meetings with the aim of advancing the ideation of innovative projects, feasible in the short and medium term, and in the fifth and final phase, they will organise, synthesise and package the results of the process.

On the initial day of this service, the companies had the opportunity to learn in depth about the basics of the process and the experience of two companies participating in the first edition, as well as the calendar and work plan drawn up for this year.

In 2021, eight companies took part in this initiative aimed at companies with at least 2 employees.
