More about:

Arrasate is a municipality in Alto Deba surrounded by mountainous landscapes, which has numerous attractions for those who visit it.

Thanks to the economic prosperity of the 16th and 17th centuries, Arrasate developed in urban terms and important monumental buildings were built: the church of San Juan Bautista, the Town Hall (Baroque style), the convent of San Francisco (now a cultural centre) and the palaces of Okendo and Artazubiaga are some of the monuments that can be admired today.

Guided tours

Accompanied by expert guides, this summer we will discover a natural environment of great beauty in which it is possible to combine sporting activity with the discovery of a valuable historical, artistic, geological and ethnographic heritage. On Saturdays in July and August we will be able to enjoy guided tours to discover the historical, industrial and cultural heritage of Arrasate and to experience its natural environment, mountain excursions on Sundays from July to September.

Mountain and hiking enthusiasts have 17 itineraries of varying lengths and difficulty to do on foot, by bicycle, running or nordik wlaking that run between mountains and rural neighbourhoods. They are perfectly signposted nature trails through which you can discover special places such as the Galarra cave or the hermitage of San Balerio.
