The Basque tourist industry is in luck. Two Basque tourist flats have made it onto the list of the 10 best tourist flats in Europe, drawn up by the European Holiday Apartment Association (EHHA). The Basque flats have managed to dazzle the jury of experts of the European Association and have taken home two awards in the most hotly contested category corresponding to properties located in European capitals.
Second place went to the La Dolce Vita flat in Donostia, managed by the Donostia-based FeelFree chain. The flat is distributed over two floors and has a total surface area of 140 m2, in addition to its spectacular terrace of almost 100 m2. It is a unique accommodation located in one of the best areas of San Sebastian. In front of the Urumea River and at the same distance from La Concha Beach and Zurriola Beach.
In fifth place is the Buen Pastor III flat, managed by the Donostia-based chain The Rentals Collection. It is a 92m2 flat, with a spectacular ceiling height, distributed in three bedrooms, three complete bathrooms, two of them en suite, a spacious living room and an open-plan kitchen. It offers an unbeatable location opposite the Buen Pastor Cathedral, in the heart of the pedestrian area of the city centre, just a few steps from La Concha beach.
"We are proud to see two flats from the Basque Country managed by two Aparture companies at the top of the list. The 'Best Holiday Home Awards' competition is the most important in Europe" - Asier Pereda, president of Aparture.
Best Holiday Home Awards
The Best Holiday Homes Awards aim to showcase the best holiday flats in Europe. The awards are given to holiday flats that provide a unique and high quality experience. A jury of experts selects a group of finalists from among the nominated homes in each category, and the winners are selected from the finalists by a vote among the representatives of each national member association of the European Holiday Apartment Association.
