UNICEF holds its charity bazaar at the María Cristina hotel

SDD

On the 3rd, 4th and 5th of December, the traditional charity bazaar for UNICEF will be held at the Hotel María Cristina in Donostia-San Sebastián, from 10:00 to 20:00 hours. After last year the usual Christmas event could not take place due to health restrictions, this year's edition is being held with the same desire to raise funds, with the invaluable help of volunteers from UNICEF Basque Country Committee and the collaboration of the Hotel María Cristina.

This year, the Christmas event is framed within the framework of UNICEF's 75th anniversary, a special year in which the work carried out since 1946 by the United Nations Children's Fund in favour of the rights of children and adolescents is commemorated. "For UNICEF it is a very special year and we hope to have the response and support that we have always felt from companies, volunteers and citizens," said Iratxe Elso, delegate in Gipuzkoa of the Board of Directors of UNICEF Basque Country Committee.

Admission to the bazaar is free. The funds raised will go entirely to UNICEF's child survival programmes, because despite the fact that vaccines are small solutions that save between 2 and 3 million lives every year, there are still 17 million children in the world who did not receive any vaccines last year.
