A different night at the Balenciaga Museum

Más sobre:

On 5 August, coinciding with the festivities of the patron saint of San Salvador, Getaria, the Museum offers a visit to the exhibitions at night, with live music by Arima Soul. With this initiative, the Cristóbal Balenciaga Museum becomes a meeting point for different artistic languages and offers the public an unusual perspective of the building and its collections.
Arima Soul is the new project of Mikel Makala (bass) and Lidia Insausti (vocals), with the collaboration of Paul San Martín (keyboards) and Hilario Rodeiro (drums). With a clear influence of Rhythm & Blues, Soul, Funk, Jazz-Groove from the 70's, but with an eye on the most contemporary current of these styles, Neo Soul. In their live shows, as well as playing their own songs, they perform covers of some of Soul's exponents such as Etta James, Curtis Mayfield, Marie "Queenie" Lyons, etc.
In the summer of 2020 they recorded an EP with 5 of their own original songs at Fredi Pelaez's Pottoko Studio. At the beginning of 2021 they were nominated as finalists in the "Best New Group" section of the Enlace Funk Awards. And in the summer of 2021 they released a vinyl single, on Enlace Funk magazine's own label in Madrid, which is getting good reviews.
Free admission from 21.00 to 00.00h (last entrance at 23:15h).
Free visit to the exhibitions, and bar and shop services.
