Kubo Kutxa, a point of reference in the cultural life of Donosti

More about:
Inaugurated in 2000, the Kubo Kutxa hall is located in the unique Kursaal building designed by the architect Rafael Moneo and has become one of the most important cultural venues in Donostia/San Sebastián. The Kubo Kutxa hall has approximately 1,000 m2, a large space which, together with its unique architecture, allows it to host large-scale exhibitions.
The programme of the Kubo Kutxa hall, based on temporary exhibitions, is centred on the plastic arts, specifically in the period from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day, also integrating various proposals on other fields of artistic expression such as cinema, architecture or design.
The Kubo Kutxa hall, with the aim of reaching all kinds of audiences, combines international exhibition projects with proposals from the local environment, divided in turn into retrospectives of great contemporary artists and group exhibitions based on different theses on current art.
Its significant exhibition trajectory has turned the Sala kubo-kutxa into a cultural reference point, a place where all kinds of artistic expressions can be shown and a meeting place for artists, experts, critics and the public.
