Organised by Sagardoaren Lurraldea, the V SAGARDO FORUM will be held in Astigarraga and Donostia from 30 November to 2 December 2023: the technical conferences on apples, cider and tourism, the International Cider Competition, the International Cider Fair and the Cider Week.

On Thursday 30 November, the Kursaal Conference Centre in Donostia-San Sebastián will host the International Cider Competition in which more than 262 ciders from 19 countries (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Chile, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, the United States, the Basque Country, Uruguay and Sweden) will take part. A specialised jury will evaluate the various ciders classified in nine categories, in an event that highlights the excellence and diversity of this traditional drink.

On Friday 1 December, at the Erribera Kulturgunea facilities in Astigarraga, technical presentations will be held where national and international professionals will share their knowledge of apples, cider and the associated tourist culture.

On Saturday 2 December, the Kursaal will once again be the setting for the International Cider Fair with 24 cider producers from around the world (Italy, Chile, United States, Austria, Norway, Germany, Poland, United Kingdom, France, Spain, Sweden, Portugal and Finland), where those who attend will be able to taste more than 100 local, national and international ciders. A unique biannual event for cider lovers looking to explore new flavours and experiences, such as the guided tasting "American cider in a can" by Paul Vander Heide (Vander Mill, USA) or the "Tasting through intuition and emotions" by Virginie Thomas (Bouscule Tes Sens, France).

Coinciding with the Sagardo Forum, Cider Week has been organised, which will take place during the week prior to the fair from 23 November. Throughout the week there will be tastings, samplings and gastronomic harmonies with local and international cider.
