The attractions of the bay of Pasaia are well known, such as its picturesque architecture, its spectacular inlet and its gastronomy. However, there is another different and very original way of getting to know this unique bay: from the sea.
Sailing trip
You can make your dream of sailing on an old sailing boat come true: the spectacular Lucretia. You can make the Donostia-Pasaia crossing and enjoy one of the most beautiful landscapes of the Basque coast or sail inland and go out to sea to contemplate the cliffs of Jaizkibel and Ulia.
Canoeing and paddle surf
No experience is required to navigate the calm waters of the bay in a canoe, making it an ideal activity for the whole family, as there are also double canoes available. Similarly, the inland waters of the port of Pasaia offer the ideal environment for paddle surfing. In addition to renting the boards and canoes, guided itineraries lasting 90 minutes or 2 hours are available.
Maritime excursions
Boat trips along the Basque coast in all its forms: routes and walks, fishing, guided tours, sunsets, dinners... Enjoy exciting routes admiring the cliffs of Jaizkibel and Ulia or sports days at sea, with the help of great professionals.
Rent a boat
For those who want to sail at their own pace or do whatever activity they fancy: fishing trips, dinners, snorkelling, whale watching, etc., they can rent their own pleasure boat. There are several possibilities with or without skipper, guided routes...
Diving trips
Departures from the port of Pasaia for all levels and baptism certificate. In this stretch of the coast you can do a multitude of different dives due to its peculiar orography, from shipwrecks to archaeological remains such as anchors and cannons.
Mater Ecoactive Museum Ship
Trips to the cliffs of Jaizkibel, a workshop on canned anchovies, whale watching, fishing for rubbish... these are some of the activities organised by Mater this summer, as well as the usual guided visits to the eco-active museum boat. A traditional wooden tuna boat that not only shows us its history and the environment, but also teaches us how important it is to take care of the sea.
