Brittany Ferries celebrates its 50th anniversary in Bilbao
Next Thursday 17th November, at 01:30 h. in the afternoon, the celebration of Brittany Ferries' 50th anniversary will take place in the Port of Bilbao, on board the ferry Salamanca. Tourism Ireland will also take part in this celebration on the occasion of the change of ship on the Irish route.
Due to the success of this connection, the Salamanca is now in charge of sailing between Bilbao and the Irish city of Rosslare. In this way Brittany Ferries increases its passenger and cargo capacity on the route. The Salamanca is the first LNG-powered ship of the French shipping company and was inaugurated last March.
The event will be attended by the general manager of Brittany Ferries, Christophe Mathieu, the Irish ambassador to Spain, Frank Smyth and the president of the Port Authority of Bilbao, Ricardo Barkala.
