Más sobre:
For 11 days, until 10 September, locals and visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy and learn more about Basque culture through the more than 60 activities that make up the programme of this year's Euskal Jaiak in San Sebastian. Highlights include the rowing boat regattas in La Concha on the first two Sundays in September and the Sagardo Eguna or cider day.

The activities will begin on Wednesday 30th August with the women's qualifying regatta for the Concha Flag and will end on Sunday 10th August after the flags have been awarded to the winning crews in the two categories in which they compete in the traditional September Regatas.
One of the first festive events this year will be the Sagardo Eguna, Cider Day, which celebrates its 37th anniversary, 35 of them in the Plaza de la Constitución, and will take place throughout the morning of Saturday 2nd September.

'Sagardo Eguna', the Cider Day
The 36th Sagardo Eguna will be held on Saturday 2 September in the Plaza de la Constitución between 11:00 and 13:45. There will be a tasting of the ciders produced by 34 cider makers from Gipuzkoako Sagardogileen Elkartea, accompanied by the music of the trikitilaris and a variety of pintxos of chorizo, cod omelette and cheese.
The people honoured this year will be the cider makers Joxe Mari Alberro from the Alberro cider maker in Hernani, Juan Ignacio Artola and Ana María Pascual from the Satxota cider maker in Aia and Eugenio Urruzola from the Setien cider maker in Urnieta.
