Esférica Rioja Alavesa exceeds 3,500 attendees

The second edition of Esférica Rioja Alavesa has been consolidated after being held this past weekend on different stages in Elciego, Laguardia and Labastida, where more than 3,500 people attended the festival over four days and where art, gastronomy, music and territory were the central focus in a unique setting.
This festival is part of the 'Festivales para un territorio' (Festivals for a territory) proposal, a brand that organises festivals in which the public lives a premium experience throughout their visit and where very exclusive encounters between audience and artists take place, all framed in incomparable landscapes and accompanied by the best wine and km 0 gastronomy.
It is estimated that Esférica Rioja Alavesa has generated an economic impact in the region of more than 300,000 euros, with a high level of integration of local companies and has hired more than 50 people from the municipalities of Cuadrilla Laguardia-Rioja Alavesa. It has also had a high positive impact on the tourism sector, with all available hotel rooms in the area sold out.
This combination of art, spaces, music and gastronomy is what makes Esférica Rioja special, which seeks to expand spaces in each edition, such as the Bodegas Marqués de Riscal, a venue that joins the festival for the first time and which hosted the opening ceremony of this event that offers an immersive experience through the senses.
The commitment to accessibility and sustainability at Esférica Rioja Alavesa is non-negotiable, which is why the organisers have developed a sustainability plan that encourages the use of public transport, providing a bus service that runs between the different stages and activities of the festival. In terms of accessibility, the festival added accessible bars and had vibrating backpacks for the hearing impaired.
