Fifth edition of the Wine Run Rioja Alavesa

Más sobre:
The "Wine Run Rioja Alavesa" returns after a two-year break forced by the pandemic. It will be held on Sunday, 30 October, in Labastida. Participants will be able to run, choosing between two distances, 10 and 20 kilometres, or walk between wineries and vineyards, getting to know and enjoying this wine-growing area in an incomparable landscape.
As if all this were not attractive enough, the event is rounded off with the Wine and Pintxos Fair, which will be held next to the Labastida Sports Centre. At the Fair, which will be open to the public, visitors will be able to enjoy wines from different wineries in Rioja Alavesa and live music with well-known rock covers by Anartic Rock Band.

Registrations
So far, nearly 1,600 people have already registered on the website. Most of them come from Álava and other parts of the Basque Country, but also from other communities such as La Rioja, Navarre, Aragón and Madrid. The event continues to grow in international character. Among those registered, there are already participants from Belgium, Sweden and the United States.
All those interested can still register on the website before 21 October or before the race bibs run out.

Tourist packages
In order to offer a broader experience of the event for participants and their companions, tourist packages have been designed that include 2, 3 and 4 nights. Accommodation in the area, visits to get to know Labastida and its surroundings and activities related to the world of wine and sport will enrich the Wine Run Rioja Alavesa.
The event is organised by Cuadrilla de Rioja Alavesa in collaboration with the Basque Government, as well as with the support of the Provincial Council of Álava, Labastida Town Council, the ABRA Winery Association, the Rioja Alavesa Wine Route and Caja Laboral Kutxa.
