Álava and Vitoria to be promoted at the INTUR fair in Valladolid

Más sobre:
The best wines and gastronomy in Ardoaraba; medieval villages, castles and fortified towers; and the best plans for Christmas, are some of the proposals presented by Vitoria and Álava at this inland tourism fair in Valladolid.

The Provincial Councillor for the Promotion of Employment, Trade and Tourism, Cristina González, explains that "we are attending INTUR with the aim of making Álava and Vitoria-Gasteiz known to travellers from Valladolid and Castilla-León, a province and autonomous community that generates a significant flow of visitors to our territory. Also to meet with the sector, agencies and tour operators, and work to include our destination in their programmes".
Maider Etxebarria, Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Economic Promotion, Employment, Trade and Tourism, underlines the collaboration between the two institutions to "consolidate us as a reference destination for those seeking a quality offer based on experiences, tranquillity and authenticity. We have the attractions to achieve this: heritage, wine tourism, gastronomy, nature, festivals...".

A complete offer
Nature, culture and food and wine are the pillars around which INTUR revolves and Álava and Vitoria-Gasteiz are presenting at this fair an offer with attractive proposals in these three areas: Ardoaraba between 3 and 8 December with the best wines and pintxos from Álava; plans and routes through the castles, towers and walled towns of Álava; plans to discover the territory by motorbike, motorhome and public transport; Medieval Almond, Santa María Cathedral...
One of the strengths of the offer of Alava and Vitoria-Gasteiz at the International Inland Tourism Fair in Valladolid will be green, sustainable and accessible tourism with proposals such as the Green Ring, the first guide that connects electric mobility and tourist resources, the Accessible Tourism guide and the green itineraries. Both institutions will also attend INTUR with a renewed wooden stand with the FSC seal of responsible forests and the Rainforest Alliance, and recycled cardboard.

Valladolid, an important market
The Provincial Council and the City Council are once again present with their own stand at INTUR because Valladolid is an important market for tourism in Alava due to its geographical proximity, its excellent road and rail connections with Vitoria-Gasteiz, a shared wine culture and a significant population centre. The city of Valladolid has more than 300,000 inhabitants and the province has more than half a million.
