Gastronomic and cultural experience at the Guggenheim

Más sobre:
The Bistró Guggenheim Bilbao restaurant is a space designed by Frank Gehry where you can enjoy traditional Basque cuisine adapted to an avant-garde context.
It is located in the centre of the city, in one of its most emblematic buildings: the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao. The restaurant emphasises a free style of cuisine, linked to its roots, to the memory of those dishes that form part of a culture and that need to be adapted to an avant-garde context, without losing flavours or textures.

Old Biscayan recipes and sauces are the basis of the work, but refined, evolved and adapted for the general public, who are looking for healthy, tasty cuisine and an informal gastronomic experience.
A varied proposal with a Basque identity that adapts to each season, with the product, presentation and service as its hallmarks, which have made the Bistró a benchmark in the city, and a perfect complement for visitors to the Museum, both tourists and locals.

In the seasonal menu, the 'Antxoas del Cantábrico en salsa verde', the 'Kokotxas de bacalao al pil pil with cockles', the 'Begihaundi a lo Pelayo' or the 'Bonito a la plancha con verduras asadas' stand out. The 'Albóndigas de bacalao con salsa bizkaina' and the famous 'Torrija caramelizada' (caramelised French toast) are a must all year round.
The restaurant has a spacious, modern and cosy dining room, with different atmospheres, large windows and an exclusive terrace surrounded by titanium with privileged views of the Nervión estuary. The organic chairs by Gehry and the colourful tapestries that decorate the walls, inspired by the works of Jackson Pollock, make the experience go beyond the gastronomic.
